Read our review on Fawn Weaver's book
Fawn Weaver started this club nearly 5 years ago and it hasn't stopped growing ... with over 860,000 followers on Facebook, 20,100 on twitter and 66,100 on pintrest, we know that Fawn knows what she is talking about.
We read her book fighting back the uncertain feeling that had crept over us when we initially came across this club, (read below ...)
But we absolutely love Fawn, and want to thank her for bringing us this fantastic book, which we truly believe every engaged couple (yes, grooms too!) should read to understand how they can have a wonderful marriage.
When we came across the Happy Wives Club, we've got to admit we were a bit skeptical about this club! Not because we don't believe in Happy Wives ... if you're used to following us, you'll understand we totally believe that happy wives do exist.
We don't fall for the whole,
'I could have served less in jail for murder!'
And all the other funny quips married couples can come out with.
But we also agree that happy wives are respected and not only have a loving partnership but a true friendship. Which is exactly what Fawn Weaver tells us in her awesome book the 'Happy Wives Club'.
In this inspiring book Fawn travels across states interviewing married couples, each one as happy (if not happier) than the day they met. This isn't because they have led fairy tale marriages, many of them have had tough times but they've stuck together and worked at it together, even if sometimes that seemed impossible.
We were drawn into this book from the start. The understanding of what it takes to have a happy marriage is put to us from the beginning. There is no fluffy, 'you will put up with anything,' or, 'be a doormat and let your hubby walk all over you,' which admittedly, we were a little unsure that's what this club was about. But it is absolutely not, it's the complete opposite ...
Fawn has an amazing way of showing what marriage is really about. It's about respecting each other and building a loving relationship and friendship where both of you flourish.
