If you do have numerous bridesmaids, it's more than likely they are all different shapes and sizes. You may have a style and colour in your head, but trying to match this against two, three or more girlfriends can become a nightmare. It's also good to think about hair and skin colouring. One of your bridesmaids may suit pale pink, while the other looks completely washed out. 

However, this said, your bridesmaids should be happy to wear whatever you choose. But sensibly you should be choosing something that suits them.

It's really popular at the moment to mix and match your bridesmaid dresses. Choosing the same colour but different style dresses, or vice versa: the same dress in different colours, or different shades of your theme colour. 

Another popular idea is not to go down the traditional bridesmaid dress route: check out dresses on the internet or from department stores. There are so many stunning dresses available, and if you can't find the dress you want then hire someone to make them for you.

Really think carefully about your bridesmaids and their style. If you accentuate their style, you'll accentuate your wedding.
